Virtual Research Symposium
A Virtual Research Symposium was organized in December 2020, providing a forum to showcase our trainees’ research. The symposium included a virtual poster session, with video presentations and live judging, as well as a keynote speaker. The 2019 and 2020 Pre-doctoral Awardees were also recognized.
ASCO Direct Highlights: Therapeutic Immuno-Oncology Advances for the Practitioner

On Oct. 8, the UF Health Cancer Center hosted the ASCO Direct™ Highlights: Therapeutic Immuno-Oncology Advances for the Practitioner.
This virtual conference focused on bringing oncology care providers the most relevant and timely practice updates related to advances in immunotherapy. In partnership with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, we highlighted recently presented data that impacts patient care including recent pivotal clinical trial results, toxicity management and special patient populations.
High School Symposium
CaRTECC organized a one-day Cancer Research Symposium in February 2020 at West Port High School in Ocala, Marion County. UFHCC faculty, graduate and undergraduate students gave presentations on their career paths and research, and over 200 students from three local high schools attended the event.
